Blue Prints would be seen in the video, when they could be fixed with Defence Parts. I'm just saying that they can't be fixed with Defense Parts here, that's all ;)

The sentinel really isn't a defense in the usual sense- it is more like a minion you buy for a large sum of gold, probably closest comparison is the ember demon. After you activate the sentinel defense you get the sentinel minion for the rest of the game(or until it is destroyed of course.) The "defense" part the sentinel is spawned from just disappears after it is used.

It has been almost 4 months since the Heart of Gold preview was posted. I think the community would like an official update or another preview on the upcoming patch and expansion. I don't want the development team to rush it out or anything but at least updating us more often would help to quell our hunger for new content and would very much be appreciated.

I'd love to but at this time we're not quite ready for the first full announcement. We do have it written and don't worry there will be more news once that goes out as well. As always things take a little longer than expected :)

As I do love our community though I'm going to share a few details:

  • 4 New campaign levels, designed with the community's feedback in mind
  • 3 New Dungeon Themes (1 entirely new, 2 reskins)
  • 4 New Aspects (Defense, Spell, Construct, Titan)
  • New terrain tilesets (and more old ones added to the editor)
  • Some new empire unit skins
  • Loads of new VO from Richard
  • Automated doors
  • Titan Overhaul
  • Rebalancing
  • and more

I've been teasing a few things here and there so I guess I'll be nice and share a little in-progress thing for you:


Say it with me now Heart of GOALLLLL! That's right it's a football themed expansion, we're introducing a new game mode which is also the main campaign of Heart of Goal, in it you take your team of downtroden football stars to defeat various football teams across the Empire and claim the Kairos world cup! The Heart of Goal!

oh cmon noontide.. its not even april fools yet rotflol

srsly though new titans/titan overhaul piques my interest
the current ones are so limited, both in lvl and function in the dungeon

Suggestion: make a titan for all jobs in the dungeon (torture specialist, guards specialist, alchemy specialist, etc)

So in this image, I see a lavafall pouring into a lava filled chasm with a large statue on the wall to the right. Does this mean that WFTO will have more dynamic and realistic environments?

I have been hoping for increased environmental realism and effects for a wile. It would certainly be nice to do more with lava, gold and water in the map editor.

yeh now that i think about even DK1 had water effects when chopping down any type of tile next to it.. even sounds effects of debris hitting the water
