WFTO Wednesday #127: Patch 1.1 Now Available!

Because 'fixing issues' never stops in a game. Every time you fix an issue, a new issue is likely to crop up or be discovered. So if you just 'fix the issues before patching' you never patch.

WFTO Wednesday #127: Patch 1.1 Now Available!

I've been only half paying attention to matters... does 1.1 mean the non-steam version is soon or already out?

Did not deliver what was promised

I'll be honest... Most of us would've rather have had a buggy version to start with as a drm free with the PROMISE that when it was stable we'd get an update released. But at least it's finally coming. I probably won't stream it anymore though... like I was originally planning to. I've waited...

    Cheat codes/Map editor

I do think changing the password is a horrible waste of you guys' time. Because no matter how many times you change it... it's going to take SOMEONE out there just as little time to crack it as it took you to change it. Not saying I'm going to... hell I don't even have ACCESS to the game yet...

    State of the Game 13-04-2015

I wish those of us non-steam users had been able to help find bugs to help polish the release of the game :(

    Non-Steam Version

It wasn't you I was worried about ;)

    Non-Steam Version

I'd actually prefer not to. Valve's fans tend to be aggressive in my experience, so I'd rather not incite a flamewar that mods would need to deal with. Suffice it to say I don't like their products or their business model and I refuse to support them. That should be sufficient, I think.

Cheats? Level 8 soo fxcking boring...

Isn't that where cheat codes originated? That's the origin of the Konami Code afterall.

    Non-Steam Version

Dungeon Keeper, there are a variety of reasons. My personal reason is that simply HAVING steam is supporting Valve, and that is something I will not do. But the reason is immaterial, I was assured it'd be possible, so I've been waiting for information telling me that I can finally play this game...

    Non-Steam Version

How do those of us who backed get access to the game if we don't use Steam? I haven't been able to find a way to do so yet.

    Possession And Missions

My friends typically have no problem with third person action games, and my research indicates it's mostly the sort of disorienting pitch you get from the first person that causes it, so I would guess third person would be not a problem. I'm no doctor or medical professional though, so don't...

    Possession And Missions

Oh of course, as I mentioned above I remember even DK1 had a bonus level that required it and that wasn't a problem as it is a bonus level. As long as it won't be a part of the core campaign, I have no complaints. Bonus levels won't necessarily all appeal to the same people, so of course...

    Possession And Missions

ya, the original had a bonus mission that was possession-oriented and that was reasonable as it's just a perk - not a mandatory mission. But it's something people too often forget in this current first-person-oriented culture of video gaming.

    Possession And Missions

I just have one small request, please don't make any missions in the main campaign that require the use of Possession. I remembered seeing a video early on that showed that possession was going to be brought back from earlier incarnations of the series - which is cool if that's the case - but...

Steam, DRM, DLC and the Longevity of WFTO

I believe I made my thoughts clear in the post I made on the subject a while back, but I'll reiterate here for the purpose of keeping things all in one place(I know that's important when trying to gather feedback ;)) I have no intent to stop supporting you guys as long as there IS a non-steam...
