    @ 2.) I did now the following and I could play WFTO from steam with sound: mkdir ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/War\ For\ The\ Overworld/lib ln -s /usr/lib64/liborc-0.4.so.0.17.0 ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/War\ For\ The\ Overworld/lib/liborc-0.4.so.0 I double checked that the...

I was able to get the sound in steam working, by changing the liborc-0.4.so.0 of the steam libraries to liborc-0.4.so.0.17.0 #Backup: mv ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/liborc-0.4.so.0 /home/flo ln -s /usr/lib64/liborc-0.4.so.0.17.0...

    Linux support has been added!

If I launch it from steam, I get a black window without sound but wfto icon which can't be closed. If I kill WFTO and WFTO.x86_64 via killall then steam won't let close itself, because it thinks WFTO is still running. After that steam updated itself... and I could reproduce it again. When I...

That trick with steam is sweet! I created a log file as you suggested. It seems like I have the same issue decribed in this bug report: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/2924 About the console launch: If I run the following command before setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH, I get the...

No, that doesn't work: The menu won't become visible. Btw. have you any idea why the sound doesn't work when I start it via steam?

Yes, I double checked it again. It breaks the game and using your game directory symlink instead works too.

I uninstalled the libudev package and tried to symlink it instead. It works too. I used the following command to create the symlink: ln -s "${HOME}/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libudev.so.0 /usr/lib64/libudev.so.0"

    Linux support has been added!

As explained earlier, when I started WFTO via the command line, the menu was missing. The problem was that the library libudev.so.0 was missing. On my Fedora 19 system there is only a libudev.so.1 ! Once I installed the 64 bit version from...

Hi Elear, when I start the game via steam, the title screen apears fist. Then after like 5s a message pops up, telling me that the game is an unfinished state. It offers me a button to get to the Main Menu. So my tipp: Start it from steam and wait a bit.

Thanks for the support and quick fix! The autoupdate had no effect for me, propably due to my folder renames. So I used "Delete local content..." and redownloaded the game. Now I can start the game via steam. If I start it via steam I get menus but no sound. If I start it via command line I...
