Looking back at the Pre-Alpha I miss the old castle wall structure it gave the Dungeon some character and gave it a nice warming medieval feel about it, and it gives the a game an evolutionary step forward from just plain blocky walls..

It's called crenellation, and upon further inspection, it doesn't really make sense to have it on underground walls, does it? :p
Crenellations would be rather silly wouldn't they. You don't want to get laughed out of the underworld do you. I can understand how you might want the walls to have a bit of character though....

It looks nice though, we don't know how tall these Dungeons really are, creatures could climb up them and use it as a type of defense from projectiles while firing their own spells.

No climbing up please.

As for Medieval style - there can be a Dungeon Theme for it. Another thing is will hero walls be the same as the ones made by Overlord Imps, or like in DK2 v1.7, where hero walls looked brighter and more cleaner.
