I do agree that it's a dungeon MANAGEMENT game. Having creatures to help you raise efficiency, happiness, and other things sounds like an awesome thing to me. Why does everything have to be pure rage and hate battle oriented?
This is my personal view of the game as well, management not a pure strategic war game. For that we have SC, warhammer, supreme commander and such. That is the reason why I found this suggestion to be the best so far, it provides something to the game other than "omg imba uber reaper dude with twin battleaxes".
this sounds like a great support character and i fully support his existence, as he levels up can his whip get more evil? i know it has barbs on it but it could catch on fire or coated with steroids or something
There has already been a good response to this but I just felt like adding my agreement as well. In general, having units that are useful without being tied to rooms or combat is just awesome and makes your dungeon a lot more lively so this is definitely a great suggestion.
I hope there will be other units who also follow this pattern (like that creature suggestion I saw some time ago that helps your imps drag stuff to your prison and so on).
I do not enjoy being whipped but if my minions are slacking off and need my enforcers to make them pul ltheir fingers out then I got no problem. I am all in love with warhammer 40k imperial guard Commissars and sort of view Impdrivers as those guys,
