Let's all be honest - no matter whether you're a goodie or a baddie, a eight feet tall and very, very angry bear is quite an imposing sight. Even more so if the better part of its body is covered in spiky plate armor.

Introducing: The Armored Attack Bear (Ursa)
Armored_Bear_v1.gif

Key Stats
Highlight: Seeing how many poster have complained that the Empire practically only has humanoid minions, I considered it a sheer necessity to solve this problem. The armored attack bear will stand proof that not only does the empire command templars and juggernauts in thick armor, it also has angry bears thick armor!
The Ursa will be a "First in the fray" fighter, that is, it will charge into the enemy ranks and use Rampage and/or Roar to weaken up the enemy forces so that the other Empire units may give them the rest. At the same time, the fact that Ursas can not be picked up from battles that turn against the player may very well result in a rather high mortality rate for them.
Faction: Empire
Type: Beast
Role: Support Melee Fighter/Berserk Melee
Acquired By: Spawns from Empire Underworld Entrances. May be captured and converted through torture for Underlords.
Basic Attack: Melee/ Slashing/ Medium
Offensive Power: High
Defensive Power: Moderate
Resistances: High vs. Melee, Frost. Low vs. Fire/Lightning
Movement: Medium-Fast (Faster than Templars and Juggernauts)
Work: -
Entertainment: Eating
Special Needs: When acquired by an Underlord, Ursas will require a foundry or go unhappy if the dungeon is lacking one.
Upgrades: -

Traits
Trait Name: Primal Rage (Attack Bears 70% chance to resist mind-control effects, but can not be picked up during battle).

Abilities
Ability Name: Maim (Deals minor damage and decreases the movement speed of the afflicted unit - ideal for slowing down and killing fleeing enemies.)
Ability Name: Rampage (Deals damage to all enemies around the Ursa and pushes them back.)
Ability Name: Roar (Briefly stuns enemies in close vicinity. Not at all stolen from Red Alert 3.)

Flavour
Appearance: Ursas are large bears equipped with heavy plate armor. The latter may or may not include spiky bits.
Likes: Nature-aligned Empire creatures, eating.
Dislikes: Monstrous Beasts (i.e. Occulus, Bafu, etc.)
Behaviour: Ursas may be dropped in the prison room to frighten prisoners, reducing the amount of time necessary for subsequent conversion in a torture chamber.
Lore: Since the first battles against the subterranean Underlords, the fighting forces of the Empire have (for good reason) learned to fear the various beasts and monstrosities these unholy beings would throw at them. As a result, the Empire has recently begun to capture young bear cubs from the Dirgehold mountains, training them into killing machines from a young age. Used to living in deep-reaching cave systems, these so-called Ursas are surprisingly capable of navigating through the dark dungeons of the Underlords. And since the Imperial Smiths have begun to mass-produce bear-sized plate armor, their navigational abilities by no means outmatch their ability to tear the unholy creatures of the Underworld apart limb by limb.

Firstly... The picture looks more like an armadillo/alien thing with bear feet :D
Sorry.
I like this. There is very little else I could say. Only... Would a bear fit in the tunnels. Physically fit, I mean. After all, as you pointed out, Fireeye, when a bear stands up, it is eight feet tall... Also... How would the Empire keep it under control?
