The animations you are adding is exactly the breath of life I wanted from this game. Are you guys considering adding different animations based on creature emotions? I want to see creatures react accordingly to being slapped too haha.
Map dimensions are unalterable once a map is created, this is a technical limitation due to the way maps are handled by WFTO and a result of the Map Editor being a feature that was retroactively designed and integrated over the top of WFTO. It's the sort of thing that would require significant overhauls to the entire game and not something that we'll be able to do for WFTO.
We definitely recognise how frustrating it is and if we could turn back time to prevent this then we would, but we have to work with the cards that are dealt.
Generally the only ways to manage this are to design the layout that you want beforehand either in a seperate tool, on paper or just in a large map and then use that layout to inform a smaller map, or as Xander said to work with larger map sizes and use Impenetrable rock to reduce the play area.
