Preface An slow tought giantic siege unit / tank

Appearance image:


Stats:

Health: Very High / Ultra high
Armor: low/none
Movement Speed:
Attack strength: High
Attack speed: Very slow
Intelligence:Very low
Construction: Very low
Training Rate: Slow or special
Training Cost: Medium or special
Wage: High or None, however you might want to build few hatcheries for him ;)
Gender: Have organs for both genders ;)
Special: You can't attract more than 1 of theese

Skills:
Headbutt meele attack also knocks back flying foes
Swallow : Eats enemy, he is then slowly loosing health inside the worm. Enemy is saved if worm is slain. Worm does not have to eat while enemy is swallowed.
Tail spin: deals moderate dmg in close AoE and knocks back
Burrow: Worm is burrows into ground is invisible and have redused movement speed. Can only use swallow while burrowed which makes him visible

Utility:
Earth eater: This unit can help your imps in digging. He have no problems in destroying fortified walls also any gold he digs throught gives player no income.

Weaknesses/Resistances:
Weakness: Blunt, slash

Information: An option for mobile base siege unit. It could be used to distrackt enemy defences which might reveal enemy secret doors or just destroy any fortified wall.

Appearance: A giant mutated worm :). It is a lot bigger than any other creature in game (2 times as tall as dark knight and about 3 DK1 bile demons in lenght

Behavior in Dungeon: It tends to eat a lot, and by a lot it might just go and eat all you your gold veins if not managed carefully

Battle Style: Soaker, crowd controll

Jobs: Nothing

Loves: Eating

Hates: Having nothing to eat

Anger reaction: Starts to destroy walls in your dungeon (it can be only angry if no food is avaible)

Lair: Giant hole in ground (in DK2 measures it would be 2x2 or 3x3)

Obtainable By: Either you bait it for siege, you can catch it in the wild, or throught portal

Attracted by: Specially prepared food for it !

How Introduced: Underlord must destroy "impenetrable fortress"

Torture: [OPTIONAL] Can't be tortured simply too big


Help me guys make this into refined siege unit idea. I propose it because i do not like paid character of any siege weapons and i would want a creature for destroying enemy walls !

The creature might get a bit overpowered if it can eat enemies and generally be strong in a fight, and also capable of taking down walls. I do agree about a unit thats capable of taking down walls being a good idea though.

I do like the idea about a large slithering creature that can swallow enemies whole, but maybe the size could be a bit smaller, like a giant snake or such to give it a bit more personality than a worm.

Well it is more like a single here unit as i stated.
The whole eating thing is imo quite balanced as it can't swallow more than 1 creature, and that creature can be saved.
I actually intended that it was very weak in combat but capable of tanking a lot f magic dmg but be very weak indirect confrontation by meele. I also wanted it to have some benefit with it's size so i thought something like tail sweep could be nice.

I somewhat intended it to be a personalityless creature so you are not worried that it is easily slain during siege attempt

Perhaps it's a creature that is bread in a specialist room? I haven't read any talk of summoner type minions, but what about summoner/beast master type rooms that contain for example the tunnelling siege worm for release at a specific time?

Creatures that aren't inhabitants of the dungeons, but rather living siege weapons. Disposable 'summon' minion elements?

I like the concept that this is the top 'summon', of a tier of 3 or something.
Tier 1 unleashes a horde not unlike starcrafts infamous zergling rush
Tier 2 something like the horned reaper, a chaotic tank/berserker
Tier 3 massive siege worm pathing a path through at a cost to anything in the way

Just some food for thought, very much liking the concept, if perhaps a bit heavily overpowered as a regular unit?

If you had read suggestion carefully i stated that ic could need special food to be summoned and you can have a single Worm at a time.

I don't like idea of summoning spells. They would throw the balance off the charts.

It is suggestion tho and any comments are helpfull foe devs.

Sorry, I guess I didn't really express what I meant all that well..

I agree that summoning spells isn't the way, I was only thinking a room that contain these creatures, if you see what I mean. The room acting more or less like a cage lair I guess, until they are released at the designated time.

Probably through the normal way of picking up and dropping them. Just my way of thinking how to seperate the regular creatures from what I'd imagine as the 'non-employed' creatures with alternate mechanics. (I was suggesting 'summonables' as a not so perfect analogy I guess..)

If you mean something like that, taing into account the hand changes (?) i would prefer to have it free in base and eat my preacious stuff and when the time comes i would use possession to unleash the fatness all over enemy wall :p

I think that would bring some player involment if he wanted to destroy walls :)
