Name: Disease trap
(Yes, the original title was a misspell ;) should be fixed in the text though, to avoid confusion)

Information: The moist and cold enviroment under ground houses many different diseases and illnesses. When mining new halls of your mighty dungeon your workers have picked up a few these diseases. Your brilliant and equally evil scholars have conceived the perfect device for containing a good mixture of these diseases and a tricker mechanism that ensures the diseases are spread even if the container is destroyed. The infected creatures will carry the illness and infect other creatures the pass by. An ill creature is not able to performe as well as it ussually does - both in combat and when working.

Uses: 1 time use
Blood cost: medium
Target: small area of effect
Friendly Fire: Yes - see below.
Cooldown: infinite - seeing as it's a 1 time use only (pr. trap)
Recovery: No recovery.

Function: When activated or destroyed the trap spreads a (deadly) cloud of disease making any creature in contact with the cloud ill. The illness can transfer from creature to creature if they move close by each other. The illness can even travel to enemies in combat, thus your geniously placed trap can turn on you.
The trap applies a debuff called Ill, followed by another debuff Immune, when Ill has run out.
Ill: the creature is ill, which reduces its attack strength and speed as well as its movement speed. The illness lasts 30 sec, but is only contages the first 15 sec.
Immune: the creature has recently been ill and is there fore immune to diseases for the next 2 min.
Some creatures, such as undeads and bile demons (or WFTO equivalent), are naturally immune and can thus not the affected, but still trigger the trap.

Appearance:
Like an old worn-out canister with gauges on top of it. A mixture between these two images:

Another possible appearance could be a chained imp, which has become infected with a disease, which, when the trap triggers, will womit, explode, sneeze on the nearest creature within range and the fall over and die :D

Possible strategies:
Deffensive use:
In your kill room place a disease trap right at the entrance, when the enemy breaches your room they are imidiately weakend by the trap. Let your other traps soften them up for you, while you wait for the disease to spread and the incubation time run out, before you finish them off with your mighty army of creatures from the underworld.
Offensive use:
Before breaching the walls your enemy destroy a disease trap of your own and infect your own creatures. Wait for them to get well and the breach the enemys dungeon while they are immune.
Or even sneakier - make most of you army immune, except a single weak creature (e.g. a "goblin"). When the enemy drops his army on you, drop your own infected creature on him and infect his entire army, while yours fight at full strength.

I don't want to be a wiseacre. But if you mean illness, the correct word is 'disease'... ;)
Anyway, it is a good idea. A bit simular to the disease-spell in DKI except it's recucing combat stats and not health...

Thank you for correcting that! :) Quite different meanings of the two words, although one might lead to the other ;-)
I should have caught all the misspellings in the text, but unfortunately I'm not able to correct it in the title :-(
